Jailbroken PS5s can now play Steam PC games through Playden launcher
Alpha stage software ports Wine to enable Steam titles on Sony console, but stability and risks remain
A new project called Playden for PS5 is allowing owners of jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles to play Steam PC games directly on the hardware. Originally developed for macOS, the launcher is now adapted for the PS5 and available on GitHub. It sets up a Windows emulation layer using prospero-win, a PS5 port of Wine, enabling users to sign into their Steam accounts, install games from their libraries, and launch them as dedicated tiles on the console's home screen.
