A confidential whistleblower report alleges Yarra Trams rushed millions of dollars in advance payments to social enterprises to avoid contractual penalties and did not adequately manage a possible conflict of interest involving a consultant. The Age reports that Victoria's anti-corruption watchdog IBAC has interviewed at least one former employee about the allegations. Yarra Trams says the decisions were appropriately overseen.
