Police have urged the public not to approach Denzel Dynevor, a 25-year-old sex offender who absconded from government custody during a supervised day visit to a PCYC at Eastern Heights in Ipswich, south-west of Brisbane, on Tuesday morning.
Dynevor was being held under a forensic disability order at the Forensic Disability Services medium-security facility at Wacol, operated by the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety. He was being escorted by two officers on a day visit to the PCYC on Griffith Road in Eastern Heights when he absconded about 11.20am on Tuesday. He was last seen on October 27.
He is described as First Nations, approximately 160cm tall, with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black singlet, blue shorts and black shoes, but may have changed his clothing.
"Anyone who may have seen Denzel or has information that may assist police to locate him is urged to contact police immediately," police said. "Members of the public are asked not to approach Denzel."
