NSW Health cyber breach declared ‘major incident’ as police investigate

The suspected cyber breach at NSW Health has been declared a “major incident”, a Cyber Security NSW spokesperson said, with NSW Police investigating a dark web user’s claim that about 100,000 sensitive documents were accessed before the server crashed. “No patient data has been impacted at this time nor is any patient data currently at risk,” Cyber Security NSW said.
