Hera probe returns first image of Didymos and Dimorphos as separate asteroids
ESA's follow-up to NASA's asteroid-deflection test will release first detailed images of Dimorphos on 25 November
The European Space Agency's Hera spacecraft has sent back its first image of the asteroid pair Didymos and Dimorphos, showing the two asteroids as separate objects rather than a single dot. Hera is now about 1,280 kilometres from the pair.
