Fire shuts Equinor’s Visund platform, taking its gas export capacity offline
No injuries reported; production restart uncertain
A fire in an electrical switchboard room forced Equinor to halt output at its Visund oil and gas platform in the Norwegian North Sea on Wednesday, cutting the field's entire gas export capacity of 13.2 million cubic metres per day from Thursday.
