Binance says it covered 95% of $US6.3b stolen in Friday's hack
FBI says TraderTraitor likely carried out hack; remaining $US3.3 billion in coins move between platforms
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, said it had covered 95% by value of the $US6.3 billion in tokens stolen in a hack last Friday, likely carried out by a North Korean hacking group known as TraderTraitor, according to the FBI. The heist has drawn scrutiny to co-founder Changpeng Zhao’s claims about user protection in his memoir, written after his legal troubles.
