Ukrainian attack reported near Lipetsk steel plant that supplies Russian military
Explosions and fires were reported in the Russian city of Lipetsk late on Oct. 27 following a strike by Ukrainian forces, with a fire breaking out in the area of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant, according to Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova Plus. The plant has previously been identified as a supplier to Russian defense companies producing air defense systems, drones, missiles, and other weapons, and is owned by sanctioned Russian billionaire Vladimir Lisin.
