Scanning reasoning streams helps code models repair flaws before delivery
Han et al. study whether security checks can intervene after a reasoning model drafts code but before it delivers that code to the user. Across 173 benchmark tasks, their SecReason system substantially increased the rate of secure, functionally correct outputs on cases where unassisted models produced vulnerabilities, while using fewer tokens than post-generation repair.
