Tasmania union slams 'brutal' job cuts with 20 minutes' notice
The Tasmanian public sector union has accused the state government of mishandling a restructure that will cut about 250 jobs, saying staff were given as little as 20 minutes' notice before being told their roles were being axed. The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) described Tuesday as a 'brutal day' and said workers were left in tears.
